Sebastian Vettel is widely recognized as one of the most gifted drivers in the history of Formula 1. The German racer achieved four consecutive world championships with Red Bull, signifying a remarkable period for the Milton Keynes-based team. At the age of just 21 years and 74 days, Vettel made history by becoming the youngest driver to secure a pole position and, subsequently, the youngest to win a Grand Prix. He dominated the sport from 2010 to 2013, securing four world titles during a highly competitive era, including formidable rivals such as Hamilton, Raikkonen, Alonso, and Schumacher.

However, the iconic driver announced his retirement from F1 in 2022 following a series of disappointing performances. Now, two years later, rumors about his potential return to the sport have begun to emerge once again. The Red Bul advisor Helmut Marko has discussed Vettel’s potential return.

During a recent media interaction, Helmut Marko expressed skepticism regarding Sebastian Vettel’s potential return to Formula 1. Despite ongoing speculation linking the German driver with various teams, including Sauber, set to be rebranded as Audi in 2026, Marko remains unconvinced about the possibility of Vettel returning to the grid. The Austrian executive, who played a pivotal role in Vettel’s career during his dominant years with Red Bull, noted that he has not been in contact with Vettel for quite some time. He mentioned that Vettel is currently in a remote location without mobile phone access and hasn’t heard from him in the last three months.

Vettel made a name for himself in the F1 community by securing Red Bull Racing’s first driver world title in 2010, a significant achievement that solidified both his legacy and that of the team in racing history. Marko also revealed that he had considered possibly bringing Vettel back to Red Bull in a supporting role after his retirement, but this plan has not materialized. He concluded that the ongoing speculation regarding Vettel’s return, especially connections to Sauber/Audi, lacks substantial evidence.
