CHECKOUT: Present Situation Is A Lot Calmer At The Red Bull Camp Than It Looks, Claims Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen has helped Red Bull get back their domination after eight years. From 2014 to 2021, Mercedes enjoyed their hegemony in F1 Motorsport. Moreover, the Austrian outfit had to wait all these years to win a title once again. They used to rule the sport from 2010 to 2013. It was the time when Sebastian Vettel was the most dominant driver on the grid. Then came the time of Lewis Hamilton, and the Briton went on to win six titles in the turbo-hybrid era. Finally, in 2021, Max Verstappen was able to end the winning streak of the Mercedes superstar.

But the Silver Arrows won the constructor title that year. It was in the cost cap era starting from 2022 when Red Bull rose to the top again. But in the last few years, Max and the Austrian outfit took their domination to another level. Since 2022, Max has won 38 races so far, and Red Bull has won 42 overall. Despite this incredible domination, there have been rumors that the reigning champion might swap teams soon. Lately, Max Verstappen has had some good news for Red Bull fans.

Since the start of the current season, things got very chaotic at the Red Bull camp. It started with a female employee in the team accusing Christian Horner of “Inappropriate behavior.” Later, there was an internal investigation regarding the accusation. But Horner came out clean after the investigation, and the parent company fired the female employee. After the accusation, Jos Verstappen told the media that Horner would be responsible for tearing the team apart. Later, the media and fans saw Jos having dinner with Toto Wolff. As a result, there were rumors surrounding Max Verstappen’s possible switch to Mercedes. Even the Dutch racer mentioned that his father is not a liar and he is loyal to Helmut Marko. Moreover, sources said things got worse when the power struggle between the 80-year-old senior advisor and the F1 team principal began.

Adding to that, Max said he would leave the Austrian team if they let Marko go. Clearly, it was a very tense situation at the Red Bull camp for a while. But lately Max Verstappen told Formula Passion that all he ever wanted was a calm and peaceful atmosphere within the team. At present, the Dutch racer feels the situation is a lot calmer than what it was at the start of the season. In the end, the triple-time champion mentioned that if he is happy with the team, then there is no reason why he should leave the winning team. As per Verstappen, it is essential for him that everybody concentrates on the single-seater and on the performances.

Max Verstappen was very clear in his interview with Formula Passion that he has no reason to leave Red Bull as long as he is happy with the team. He mentioned that he signed a long contract lasting till 2028 with the Milton Keynes outfit after he won his maiden title. The idea of signing a long contract was to enjoy a calm and peaceful environment. Lately, there have not been any new or serious controversies coming from the end of Christian Horner’s team.

However, if Max leaves them anyway, Mercedes might be the likeliest option where he will sign. Toto Wolff seemed desperate to sign the Dutch racer. But the Silver Arrows had their worst start to a season this year. Certain F1 pundits wonder why Max would leave a winning team for a team that’s fighting for a 5th or 6th place finish.
