Mercedes Unveils Special Livery For Hamilton’s Final Race With The Team

After an incredible run of six Formula 1 world titles with Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton is set to leave the Brackley-based team at the end of the current season. The seven-time world champion will be joining Ferrari for the 2025 season, where he will team up with Charles Leclerc.

Reflecting on his time with Mercedes, Hamilton shared that leaving the team was a tough decision for him, as Mercedes has been a part of his life since he was just 13 years old. Over the course of 11 years with the team, Hamilton grew and achieved immense success, including six world titles. However, he acknowledged that the time had come to pursue a new challenge with Ferrari, a decision that was not made lightly.

Ahead of his final race with Mercedes in Abu Dhabi next month, the team has announced a special gesture to celebrate Hamilton’s remarkable career with them. In a unique tribute, Mercedes is offering 150 fans the chance to have their names printed on Hamilton’s car for this historic race. This special opportunity will allow fans to be part of a momentous occasion in Formula 1 history. To enter the prize draw, fans can submit their details between November 14 and November 26, with the chance to be one of the lucky 150 to have their name featured on Hamilton’s car as a lasting tribute to his time with Mercedes.

There were speculations that Lewis Hamilton might be granted the exclusive privilege of staying at Enzo Ferrari’s Fiorano residence, a rare honor that had only been given to Michael Schumacher in the past. However, these rumors have been denied. Hamilton’s first opportunity to drive for Ferrari is now expected to take place in January at the Fiorano circuit, where he will get behind the wheel of the F1-75, a car from the 2022 season. This initial session will provide Hamilton with crucial time to familiarize himself with Ferrari’s systems before the official pre-season testing in Bahrain later in February, helping him transition smoothly into his new role with the Scuderia.
