The Mercedes team waited almost two years for this moment. George Russell clinched the silverware, stood tall on the podium, and celebrated the end of a curse. This curse followed the German Marque since the introduction of the ground effect. Further, it reached a point where, irrespective of what the engineers tried, the F1 car was not ready to take off.

The team principal, Toto Wolff, is upbeat about the current developments and is awaiting yet another podium at the upcoming Silverstone GP.
