Juan Soto has been one of the most impactful players for the New York Yankees this season. 2024 is the debut year for the four-time Silver Slugger winner and the best hitter in baseball, as a member of the Bronx Bombers. He has been very excited to be part of this great franchise for a while. After all, the Dominican superstar said that he feels at home in New York because of the huge diaspora of his countrymen in the city. Moreover, the crowd has shown him a lot of love throughout the first month of the regular season.

Also, they have shown him love during the Spring training days too. Apparently, the 2019 recipient of the Babe Ruth award is gelling pretty well in the Yankees clubhouse. Now, whether he will stay in the Bronx after this season is still a hot topic of debate and speculation. But it seems like the Dominican superstar is on to something very special in his first year at the Bronx. Lately, Soto said he is looking to set a new record for his stolen bases.

Recently, in the four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles, the Yankees faced their second series loss of the 2024 regular season. The O’s have toppled the Bronx Bombers in the American League East. Now, the Baltimore side is enjoying a two-game advantage as the Yankees have played and lost two more. Hence, it is still very close between the O’s and the NY side. Meanwhile, the fan is happy with the performances of Juan Soto. The 2020 NL batting champion has been one of the brightest lights for the Yankees this season. On the other hand, the captain Aaron Judge has been really struggling with an early season slump. But Soto has taken care of the offense pretty well.

Lately, Juan Soto told the media, including New York Daily News, that he is looking to break his own stolen base record. The career high stolen base for Juan Soto has been 12 that he got twice in his career so far. He believes he can do a lot better this year. According to the Dominican slugger, he should get 20 bags at least in 2024 with ease. As per the NJ Advance Media, in a brief one on one interview at his locker, Juan Soto mentioned that setting a new career high for stolen base is his goal. He believes he can be more aggressive and find better spots to be in. Then, Soto feels he can get to the stage where he wants to from there on.

Prior to the regular season, Aaron Judge told the media that his partner in baseball crime is a Yankee from the heart. Moreover, the way things are going, Soto has already become a fan favorite in the Bronx. He is making a lot of noise for winning this year’s American League Most Valued Player.

Juan Soto is one of the biggest contenders for the MVP award this season. On the other hand, the former AL MVP, Aaron Judge, is going through an early season slump. His slow starts have been making the fans really worried. However, the Yankees manager Aaron Boone mentioned it is only a matter of time before he gets the ball rolling.
