The New York Yankees owner first condemned the cuss words used by Brian Cashman, suggesting that the choice of words could have been better. But at the same time, Hal Steinbrenner admired the passion shown by the GM. Earlier, the Yankee owner, during his virtual press address, defended skipper Aaron Boone by dismissing the narrative of Boone being believed to be making in-game decisions solely on analytical data.
