While Mercedes continues to intensify the race to the top, their top driver, Lewis Hamilton, is satisfied with the team’s results and progress so far. He said that he didn’t expect the Silver Arrows to be P2 in constructors champion with the kind of awful start of the season. Thus, it’s exciting to have something to fight for. The seven-time world champion further acknowledged competition from Ferrari.

“Of course, we want to beat them [Ferrari], just as they want to beat us. It’s going to take a full team effort, that’s for sure,” added Lewis Hamilton. Hence, Hamilton and Russell are likely to remain under a lot of pressure to defend their spot in the constructors championship.
