Max Verstappen is dominating the grid right now because he has the most superior car in recent times. He knows that very well. Hence, whenever the thought of leaving Red Bull comes to mind, he must try to be patient and think about it for a minute. However, the Dutch racer had mentioned earlier this year that he won’t think about leaving the Austrian outfit twice if Helmut Marko leaves the team. Then, he’ll leave the team, too, straightaway. The current reigning champion feels a great deal of gratitude that he owes to the 80-year-old advisor of Red Bull.

After all, it was the senior advisor who noticed him for the first time and brought him to the Austrian outfit. However, Max said that he wants the core of the team to remain the same because they are doing so well right now. After all, since 2022, Red Bull has won 42 races so far. Max alone has won 38 races. But if the core doesn’t stick together, then their dominance might just plummet. Recently, Max’s father gave a hint about his F1 future.

Max Verstappen has been the racer to beat since 2022. He won his maiden title in 2021. But it was in 2022 that he became the most dominant racer in the F1 world. Now, if someone like Max says that he wants to leave Red Bull and makes him available in the Driver’s market, every team will jump on this opportunity to land the best driver in the grid. There has been a rumor that Max Verstappen might leave the Austrian outfit before his current contract expires in 2028 because the design chief Adrian Newey announced his departure. There is still a lot of confusion regarding the current Red Bull situation. Will Newey actually leave Christian Horner’s team?

Then, what’s next for Max Verstappen? Lately, Jos Verstappen said as per RacingNews365, every team wants his son. But at present, Jos believes his son is right about having the fastest car. But the former F1 Dutch driver thinks they should also think about the future. Like, what happens after 2026? Hence, Jos said that they are leaving all doors open for the moment. The father-son duo is staying calm and will “See what will happen.” According to The Sun, the Verstappens and his manager, Raymond Vermeulen, will have a meeting soon with Toto Wolff and the other two owners of the Brackley-based team. INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Mercedes Benz CEO Ola Kallenius will also be present at the meeting.

During the Chinese Grand Prix, Toto Wolff said that many factors play important roles in a driver’s signing. He said that while it looks like the quickest driver is driving the fastest car at present, that’s not everything when it comes to having an F1 future with a team.

For instance, Max Verstappen earlier had said that he just wants a “Peaceful environment.” Moreover, Toto Wolff feels Max has more depth than other simple-minded drivers to consider factors other than just a fast car. Then, it does not need any convincing, as Wolff feels Max knows more about motor racing than anyone. Hence, he will do what he feels is right.
