The New York Yankees seem to chase Blake Snell forever. But it is mostly the fans than the front office. The people who can actually bring Snell to the Bronx do not seem very interested. Clearly, the 110 percent luxury tax is bothering Hal Steinbrenner and his organization. Previously, the NY side presented an offer to Snell with a six-year deal worth $150 million. But the two-time Cy Young winner and his agent, Scott Boras, refused the offer. That is because Boras is trying to get his client to sign something around a nine-year deal worth $270 million. However, as per reports, Hal Steinbrenner has replied to Scott Boras, saying, “No thanks.” But the Yankees Faithful believes the combination of Blake Snell and Gerrit Cole would be absolutely lethal.

Last year Cole won Cy Young Award. Snell is a two-time Cy Young winner. He won one of those awards in the American League and the other one in the National League. Hence, Snell can fit in any league. He is one of the best-starting pitchers in baseball. The Yankees would love to sign him if it was not for the luxury tax issue. Anyhow, the team looks confident in having a great season this year. Their outfield looks stunning, with Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, the best offensive players in baseball. But Clarke Schmidt believes the NY side can be proud of their pitching staff as well. Even without Snell, Schmidt feels, the team can do something special.

As per NJ Advance Media, Clarke Schmidt said that without Snell, the team could not just survive but also be downright successful. Moreover, Schmidt is the rising back-end star of the New York Yankees. If the Bronx Bombers eventually sign Blake Snell, they can throw Schmidt overboard. Although Schmidt knows that he can be the first one to go if they land Snell, he feels the fans will be proud of how he performs this year. Moreover, Hurler mentioned it is not just him; the whole rotation is quite promising.

He is very hopeful about how the rotation will pan out this year. Schmidt mentioned, “There is a lot to look forward to in 2024 with the Yankees.” Moreover, Schmidt said that he would show the fans that the “Proof is in the pudding.” Adding to that, Schmidt noted that he learned a lot from last year. He knows what he is capable of doing. On top of that, the pitcher is looking forward to giving his best in 2024. He is excited for the fans to see that, too.

Lately, the Yankees skipper mentioned that Clarke Schmidt is not human. He beats everybody with his confidence and feels Boone. Even though there are a lot of rumors about Blake Snell. But Boone praised Schmidt for getting ready to dominate the league “In his mind.” And the Yankees manager said, “Rightfully so.” That’s what stood out to Boone since he has known Schmidt and Michael King.

They are very confident as a person. Moreover, Aaron Boone called Schmidt a “Dawg”, because he’s unafraid of anything. Adding to that, the Yankees manager mentioned Clarke loves the competition. Schmidt still has a month of time to refine his arsenal. By then, the rumors about Snell can come to an end.
