New York Yankees were worried about captain Aaron Judge when he first hit the season as his average for the month of April plummeted to .178. Judge’s form concerned the fans as they have always relied on the former MVP to fulfil the offensive production needs.

However, Aaron Judge promised that he would get back to his regular form sooner rather than later. The captain also shared how he is grinding behind the scenes and embracing adjustments to come out of the slump. Turns out, Judge broke through the gates in May to now emerge as one of the best hitters in the league.

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge slammed back-to-back homers in his second game straight on Friday as Yanks offense exploded against the San Diego Padres. Judge and Juan Soto homered back to back to put the Padres under the pump as the Bombers sealed an 8-0 win. That being said, with those two homers, Judge’s season tally has soared to 16, with their average jumping to .275 and OPS to 1.030 in the first 53 games. Notably, Judge, who was hitting .178 in April, bounced back remarkably well to now emerge into the ranks of the best hitters in the league. He scripted history by becoming the only third Yankee after Roger Maris and Lou Gehrig to hit at least 15 home runs, 15 doubles, and a 1.000 OPS through his first 52 games of a season.

In the last 25 games played in the month of May, Aaron Judge is hitting  .393 with a 1.445 OPS, 11 home runs, and 11 doubles. He also won the AL Player of the Week for the first week of May. And at the present trajectory, Judge is anticipated to clock 50 home runs this season alone. Needless to say, the turnaround has been extraordinary, given how April turned out to be his worst start to the season. However, with honesty and hard work, the Yankees captain was able to bounce back aggressively to now become one of the best hitters of the season. Moreover, with the All-Star selection on the horizon, Judge remains the favorite to be elected as a regular outfielder alongside his Yankee teammate and generational star Juan Soto, who has been equally dangerous on the plate.

Judge Says Yankees Roster A ‘Part Of Something Special’

After the New York Yankees bulldozed the San Diego Padres with an 8-0 victory on Friday, captain Aaron Judge ranked the 26-man active roster highly. The captain added that the team’s success this year is not reduced to 2-3 guys. Instead, every player included in the active roster is a part of something special.

“I’ll never narrow it down to just three guys because every single guy in here is starting their own ride,” said Aaron Judge after the game. Indeed, the New York Yankees are in for a special ride. The team is seated comfortably at the top of the AL-East table with a prolific 36-17 record and a .679 winning percentage.
