Judge, who bounced back from a slow start in April, covered serious ground in May to record the finest offensive months the league has seen until now. New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge made the MLB stand up and take notice of his dreamy resurgence in the month of May as he went from a .178 average hitter to the leading AL-MVP candidate in a span of just 28 games. Judge finished the month with a .371 batting average, 14 home runs, 12 doubles, 27 RBI, 22 walks and a 1.415 OPS.

He also ended up leading the league in home runs, OPS, fWAR, and on-base percentage. Naturally, Aaron Judge was expected to be rewarded for his heroic. Judge has been named American League’s hitter of the month for his exceptional offensive numbers. Earlier, Judge was also named AL Player of The Week for his ground breaking 20 games streak where in he hit 12 doubles and 11 home runs on the trot.
