Carlos Rodon All Set To Throw Ball For The Yankees! Confirms Manager Aaron Boone Amid Delay Rumours

The New York Yankees’ crucial starter, Carlos Rodon, who is spending time on IL due to arm strain, faced another massive setback.

Carlos Rodon, the New York Yankees’ highly touted acquisition of the 2023 off-season, disappointed the fans just days before opening day. After a horrific spring debut in the pinstripes, Rodon mysteriously missed a few games in a row. It was later revealed that he experienced some discomfort in his throwing arm and went for scans. And the scans declared a forearm strain in his throwing arm.

Subsequently, the southpaw made his way on the injury list for indefinite weeks. A few weeks into rehab, Carlos Rodon threw multiple bullpen sessions. Just when his live session was being scheduled, the left-hander likely faced another setback that could delay his return for several days. The latest update is concerning an injury-plagued New York Yankees.

The New York Yankees pulled off a major heist in the off-season when they acquired ex-Giants’ pitcher Carlos Rodon in a six-year, $162 million deal. The powerful southpaw was a missing piece of the puzzle the Bombers were looking for to start behind Gerrit Cole. However, all hype and anticipation went to dust when the pitcher, with a lengthy injury history, injured his throwing arm. Hence, his debut in New York could get delayed for several weeks. Further, just when the bullpen sessions went underway, Rodon dealt another major blow.

According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, Carlos Rodon was scheduled to hit a live BP session on Monday. However, he has suffered tightness in his back, which supposedly delayed that session. And now, the manager has confirmed that the pitcher will return in the next game against Guardians. Boone believes the issue isn’t major. For what it’s worth, the skipper did confirm that his arm is doing fine, and there isn’t any concern on that front. Regardless, the fans remain on edge. The pitching staff of the New York Yankees is in a dire state and desperately needs some kind of a boost.

Amid Injury Setbacks, Rodon Welcomes Home A Baby Boy

While Carlos Rodon’s professional life may be in turmoil, on a personal front, he has one big happy family. Now, the family has just gotten a little bigger. On Easter, Rodon’s wife, Ashley, took to Instagram to announce the birth of their third child. The couple welcomed a baby boy and named him “Silo.” Ashley captioned that photo saying they wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret and are beaming with joy with the arrival of Silo.

Before Silo, the couple already had two kids, namely, Bo and Willow. Certainly, the couple is beaming in joy with the newest addition to the family. Coming back to the professional front, Carlos Rodon will likely return in a few weeks from now, probably early May, considering he doesn’t face any more setbacks. Rodon has to stay away from injuries this year if he wants to justify his contract.
