Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz were the top two players in the ATP Race when they arrived in New York this year. Carlos Alcaraz Defeats Frances To Enter The Finals!

Carlos Alcaraz defeated Frances Tiafoe in a five-set quarterfinal match to extend his remarkable US Open run. The youngest player to make the final is Carlos Alcaraz, 19, who is 19 years old. At the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York for the US Open 2022, Carlos Alcaraz beat Frances Tiafoe in the men\’s singles semifinal match. Alcaraz had a chance to respond and win the next two sets, but Tiafoe had already won the opening set 7-6.

Alcaraz appeared to be about to win the match, but he stumbled in the fourth set tiebreaker, forcing a final set. He then dropped the fourth set before making an incredible comeback and defeating Frances Tiafoe 6-3 to win the match. The Spaniard won in five sets in the quarterfinal match against Jannik Sinner to move to the semis. While Tiafoe won in three straight sets to reach the last four. In the men\’s singles championship match, Alcaraz will now go vs. Casper Ruud.

Talking to the press after the game, Carlos said, \”To be honest, in the semifinal of a Grand Slam you have to give everything.\” He also added, We have to fight until the last ball. It doesn\’t matter if we are fighting for five hours, six hours. It doesn\’t matter. You have to give everything on court.\”

Alcaraz Chasing Nadal\’s Record!

Carlos Alcaraz, the only adolescent to achieve it since Rafael Nadal, then 36, accomplished it in 2005. He equaled a significant Rafael Nadal accomplishment by making it to the men\’s singles semifinals of the current US Open 2022 since Nadal accomplished it in the 2005 French Open. He also became the tennis player with the youngest age to reach a Grand Slam final.

Alcaraz will also break the record for the youngest No. 1 in ATP history if he wins the US Open. The last youngster to win a Major was Nadal in 2005. Thus he will also be the first one since. In doing so, he would break Lleyton Hewitt\’s previous record, given the Australian was only 20 when he attained the position in 2001. If Carlos wins the match, this will be the first time when Nadal loses the number one spot rankings since February 2020. However, still Nadal gave his best wishes to the young Spanish player and supported him for ths final game .
