Brazil Soccer Legend Pele Admitted Back To ICU After Surgery

Brazil soccer legend Pele recently went through surgery to remove a tumor from his colon. However, after the surgery, he was admitted back to the Intensive Care Unit at Sau Paulo hospital. But the great thing is that his daughter, Kely Nascimento assured everyone that \”he is recovering well.\”

The doctors found a tumor in Pele\’s colon when he went for his routine checkup last month. The surgery to remove this tumor took place on September 4. Since then, he has been in the recovering phase at the Albert Einstein Hospital. However, the 80-year old soccer legend just took one step back as he was admitted back to the ICU.

   

Kely Nascimento took her Instagram to give an update on her father\’s health. In the caption of this post, she addressed all the rumors that are going around. She stated there is a lot of anxiety in the world, and they don\’t want to be the reason for more of it.

She posted a fresh picture with him to inform everyone that her father is in good shape. The caption of her post reads, \”He is recovering well and within normal range. Promise! He doesn\’t like it when I say this so, please don\’t tell him, but he is an O\’Keefe gentleman (😬). The normal recovery scenario for a man of his age, after an operation like this, is sometimes two steps forward and one step back.\” She added, \”Yesterday he was tired and took a little step back. Today he took two forwards!\”

Pele\’s health has been a topic of concern for the last few years. He is suffering from hip problems and cannot walk unaided. He also went kidney and prostate procedures in recent years. As a result, his public appearances have also been cut short.

Pele is one of the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century. He was a part of the FIFA world cup winning team in 1958, 1962, and 1970. He is also a leading goal scorer for Brazil, with a total of 77 goals in 92 matches. Pele has registered a total of 1279 goals in 1363 games that includes friendlies as well and is also recognized as Guinness World Record.

Pele\’s certainly one of the most decorated players in the history of soccer, and now all his fans are praying for his speedy recovery.
