Aaron Judge is putting together an MLB calibre season this year, as he has been going bonkers on the plate since May. He is hitting home runs every other day whilst stacking up hits and walks almost every day. Judge is halfway through this 2022 season home run record already with still the second half left on the cards.

Notably, Aaron Judge’s form is even more special because he is keeping the hopes alive amid Yankees’ decline. Meanwhile, in the recent series opener against AL-East leaders Baltimore Orioles, Aaron Judge went deep again and scripted a unique stat line that never surfaced before in the past 3 decades.

Aaron Judge Scores A Home Run & Draws 4 Walks Vs Orioles To Script History

In a remarkable performance that showcased both his power and patience at the plate, Aaron Judge became the first New York Yankee to hit a home run and draw four walks in a single game since Paul O’Neill achieved the feat in 1996 against the Baltimore Orioles. In a heated series opener held on Friday, Judge went yard in the third inning to extend Yanks lead to 3-1. He also drew four walks as the Orioles opted for the Barry Bonds treatment. He finished the night going 1-for-1 with a home run, four walks, an RBI and a run scored. The last time any Yankee achieved such a stat line was back in 1996.

However, Aaron Judge’s extraordinary night was obliterated by a physical altercation between the Yankees and Orioles benches. A hit-by-pitch incident triggered a big brawl in the ninth inning. Judge found himself trying to separate the two sides by being a tall wall in the middle. Following the game, the Yankee captain revealed that tensions had been boiling between the two sides since the last series. The HBP incidents are getting frequent, which resulted in a spillover on Friday. However, regardless of the Friday events, Aaron Judge doesn’t expect the agitation to extend through the series over the weekend. He stated that the Yankees are focused on the bigger picture, which is winning games. They lost 16 out of the past 25 which is not a good sign for their postseason quest. Hence, winning is all that’s on the Yankee’s minds as of now.

Meanwhile, Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper became the first pair in MLB to win back to back player of the month award in a single season. The New York Yankees captain and Phillies baseman have been in phenomenal form this year and received highest number of votes in recent All-Star Phase 1 voting.

In June, Aaron Judge slashed  .409/.514/.864 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs, and an OPS of 1.378. He is leading the triple crown race and is halfway through the home run record already. Judge already has recorded a successful season in the first half of the year already, and he is expected to lead the New York Yankees to the postseason comfortably.
