New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone had some interesting words to describe slugger Giancarlo Stanton after the outfielder crushed a massive homer during a recent game against the San Francisco Giants.

The New York Yankees sealed the first series of the 2023 MLB season with a sweet shutout victory over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. While the team put up a collective effort, the one hit from Yankees designated hitter, Giancarlo Stanton, stole the show. The mammoth hit went down in the books of the slugger’s glorious career history.

Since joining the team in 2018, Giancarlo Stanton has remained a dominant force at the plate alongside Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo. While injuries have limited Stanton’s playing time over the past few seasons, he has remained a key part of the Yankees’ lineup. Moreover, this season, the slugger has much to prove to defy his last season’s low numbers, and his early form looks highly promising.

Aaron Boone’s Choice Of Word To Describe Stanton’s Gigantic Homer Has Left The Fans In Split

Giancarlo Stanton, the New York Yankees’ most powerful face behind the plate, showed the world what he is capable of during Sunday’s game against the San Francisco Giants. Facing Ross Stripling in the third inning, Stanton slammed a mammoth 485 feet homer over the top of the centre field. Moreover, the home run opened the Yankees scoring account and gave them a commanding two-run lead. Not only that, but the hit also went down as the second longest in Stanton’s career history, only second to the 500 feet he hit in 2015.

While the whole world stood still and applauded the colossal hit, Yankees skipper Aaron Boone had a bit different take on it. Post the series win, Boone addressed the media and described the sluggers’ as “weird.” Further, Boone added that whenever Giancarlo Stanton comes in the dugout post a crazy hit, he tells him, “You’re weird. You’re different.” Boone certainly intended to praise the DH for his unreal hit, but his choice of words could have been a little better. Nonetheless, that’s Aaron Boone for you. He has an image of being highly vocal and speaking his mind without thinking about the repercussions.

On the other hand, Stanton’s teammate, Kyle Higashioka, had one of the best reactions to the former’s colossal home run. Describing the moment, Kyle said Stanton is the one and only hitter in MLB who is capable of putting the hurt on a baseball. The statement clearly speaks volumes of the slugger’s dominance in the field of baseball and the persona he created over the years.

With the New York Yankees eyeing the long-awaited World Series title, Stanton’s performance will be crucial in determining the team’s fortunes down the stretch. If he can continue to hit with power and consistency, the Yankees will have a good chance of making a deep postseason run. For now, he remains the player to watch out for as the season heats up.
