A day later, manager Aaron Boone confirmed the injury, and the Yanks continued to evaluate its severity to determine if surgery was necessary. Meanwhile, despite the injury, Chisholm remained optimistic. “I’m not super concerned about it,” he said, citing positive results from initial tests. Although he initially stayed in the game, he was removed before his next at-bat as the soreness became more noticeable.
At the time of the injury, Jazz Chisholm was hitting .316 with seven home runs, 11 RBIs, 13 runs, five stolen bases, and an impressive 1.062 OPS over 14 games. He also adapted to playing third base, a new position for him. Amid a surgery scare, Jazz remained confident that the injury was not serious throughout and slated his return timeline to 10 days, which was deemed a long shot by manager Aaron Boone. However, defying the preset notions, Chisholm returned within his timeline, which left Boone surprised. He praised the third baseman’s self-confidence and termed the early return a miracle. Since then, Chisholm has been a consistent hitter for the New York Yankees. He is set to play his first playoffs in pinstripes and finally be able to live his childhood dream at the Yankee Stadium, has got Jazz super excited ahead of the ALDS series. “To do it in Yankee Stadium, I’m super excited,” Jazz said.

As for the rest of the lineup, Chisholm acknowledges the power they bring to the plate. “The guys already crush homers, so that’s all we need right there,” he added, showing confidence in the Yankees’ ability to rely on their heavy hitters.
