He emphasized that his reaction times are still quicker than those of younger drivers, and he believes he has become a better driver than when he was 22. Hamilton acknowledged that, at a younger age, he was full of energy and determination but lacked finesse and balance. He recognized that being a good racing driver goes beyond just speed; it requires being well-rounded, which includes skills in teamwork and leadership.

In his analysis of racing legends, Hamilton noted that they often excel in various aspects, with only slight differences setting them apart. He emphasized the importance of the overall package, considering what these legends represent and stand for. He specifically mentioned looking up to figures like Ayrton Senna and Nelson Mandela, stating that he aspires to embody the qualities that connect the two.

Lewis Hamilton once expressed his deep admiration for Ferrari, emphasizing that “everyone’s a Ferrari fan” after being announced as a Ferrari driver. Hamilton explained that, even as a young fan dreaming of reaching the heights of Formula 1, the allure of the iconic red cockpit of Scuderia Ferrari captivated him. He recalled how, as a kid, he would watch legends like Michael Schumacher race for Ferrari and wonder what it would be like to drive in that red car. This admiration has stayed with Hamilton throughout his career, making his eventual move to Ferrari a particularly exciting chapter in his journey.
