When the fans in the Bronx can’t stop celebrating the greatness of the Judge-Soto duo, a Little League coach has lately alleged that the Yankees captain disregarded his team.
Yankees Defended Their Captain Against The Allegations Of A Little League Coach
As per the Staten Island Advance, Bob Laterza, the Little League manager, alleged that Aaron Judge failed to acknowledge his team before the Yankees and Tigers game on Sunday. Moreover, the Little League manager stated that the 2022 AL MVP should have turned around and waved to the kids in New York who see him as a hero. Adding to that, Laterza noted, “After all, they pay your salary.” In response to Laterza’s statement, the Yankees franchise praised their 16th captain on Sunday. They stated, “Aaron Judge is an outstanding representative of our sport who’s worthy of celebration, not just for his on-field talents but also his positive impact on his admirers.”
Prior to the game versus the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, the Bronx Bombers as a team spent the day engaging with as many Little League players as they could in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Hence, Tuesday’s statement of the Yankees also read that their players willingly invested their attention and time to many kids who joined them throughout their trip to Williamsport. The statement also said that all the players were attentive from “Their arrival to the end of the evening.” Moreover, the NY side also mentioned that they did not schedule the meeting with the numerous kids on Sunday. In fact, it was the players who voluntarily spent their time with the Staten Island team prior to Sunday’s game against the Tigers.
Aaron Judge And The Manager Denied To Comment On The Allegations
In response to the allegations of Bob Laterza, Aaron Judge mentioned that he has nothing to say about that. But he did mention that it is all about the kids. Moreover, Aaron Boone said he didn’t find it worthy to dignify the claim with a response. But the manager said that Judge is among the best when it comes to “Interacting with everyone.”
The NY side as a franchise stated further that the players undoubtedly dedicated their time to make some memorable moments for those young baseball players. Their sole intention was to make the event “What it was intended to be.” After showing their complete support to Aaron Judge, the franchise said that a Little League coach can learn some sportsmanship from the Yankees Captain.
