The New York Yankees are enjoying a great season, mainly because of Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. Ever since the Dominican slugger joined the Bronx Bombers, the chances of making the playoffs this year have risen a lot. In 2023, the NY side had a horrific season. They finished with a terrible 82-80 record and failed to make the postseason. It was the worst season in the last 30 years of the franchise’s history. Moreover, the team looked weak at their offense. Hence, they needed the addition of a superstar slugger who could fit perfectly alongside Aaron Judge.

That was Juan Soto, who eventually signed a one-year deal with the Yankees before he became a free agent in the next offseason. There are a lot of speculations regarding Soto’s future with the NY side. However, before getting that far, it is time to appreciate the impact of the Judge-Soto duo. Lately, the starting pitcher Marcus Stroman acknowledged the great impact of the dynamic duo.

Since the start of the current season, the Yankees have been feeling a difference in their offense with the new addition of Juan Soto. The Dominican superstar even became the American League Player of the Month in April this season. Clearly, he had a great start to his pinstripes journey. On the other hand, Aaron Judge had a slow start to the ongoing season as he had to go through an early season slump. However, in May, the Yankees captain started to turn things around. Soon enough, he started leading the league with most home runs. Currently, Judge hit his 42nd homer of the season and 299 of his overall MLB career. Lately, both Soto and Judge homered in a game against the Texas Rangers and helped the NY side win 8-7.

After Sunday’s thrilling encounter against the defending World Series Champions, Marcus Stroman said in a post-game interview that the impact of Judge and Soto is truly special. Stroman, who started on Sunday, added that we are witnessing history. He said it is easy to take it for granted because they are doing something special each and every day. Moreover, Stroman thinks even though it is easy to look at it as something expected, it is hard to put into words what the Judge-Soto duo has been able to do so far. Since they have been incredible every day, it might look normal. But Stroman says, “I’m really thankful for those guys.” Moreover, the starting pitcher believes Judge and Soto are able to create a lot of havoc in the opposing pitcher’s lineup.
