Aaron Judge gave a subtle hint that he wants the New York Yankees to make smart moves ahead of the deadline. Apparently, that’s what the front office did right before the July 30 MLB Trade Deadline. The team needed to bring reinforcements to their bullpen because they have lost plenty of games as of late due to a lack of consistency in their pitching department. It was not looking promising for their chances to make the playoffs. The defense needed to be stable enough to help the offense win more and more games.
Since June 13, the Yankees went 6-16 in their next 22 games. Later, in July, they had a bad start with a 4-8 record. Then, the All-Star break happened, and the New York front office had some time to plan its steps ahead of the deadline. A week before the deadline, the NY side landed Jazz Chisholm from the Miami Marlins. As it turned out, the ex-Marlins outfielder has been the best addition to the Yankees roster at the deadline. Even Aaron Judge thinks that it’s fun to watch Jazz.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. Received A Lot Of Praise From The Yankees Captain
The former Marlins outfielder has a great start with Aaron Boone’s side. Along with Judge, on Monday, Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a couple of home runs against the Philadelphia Phillies. Those home runs helped the NY side win 14-4. Lately, Aaron Judge has heaped praise on the new offensive addition to their batting lineup. After Monday’s big win, the Yankees captain mentioned that ‘energy’ the former Marlins outfielder brought with him. As per ESPN, in the post-game interview, the 2022 AL MVP mentioned, “It is impressive and fun to watch Jazz, he’s electric.” Adding to that, Judge noted that Chisholm seems quite excited to be a part of the Yankees, and he is having fun. So far, Aaron Judge thinks Jazz has been making a big impact.
The 27-time World Champions traded for the outfielder because they knew it was important to add a power at-bat to support Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Prior to joining the Bronx Bombers, the center fielder was hitting .249, and decent numbers to show for himself. But now, it seems Jazz Chisholm Jr. is aiming to have a fresh start with the NY side. He has left his Marlins stats in the past. The new outfielder of the Bombers was playing as a third baseman and was able to reach base thrice on Monday. So early in his career, he already had a multi-homer game for the Pinstripes.
The New Outfielder Used The Bat Of Aaron Judge To Hit His Second Home Run
Jazz Chisholm Jr. managed to hit four home runs in his first three games for the NY side. On Monday, he used the bat of the Yankees captain to hit his second homer of the day. Prior to the ninth inning, he managed to hit a home run on a 65 mph pitch off Garrett Stubbs of the Phillies. In the post-game interview, YES Network quoted Jazz, saying, “I’m not gonna use that bat tomorrow as it was so heavy.”

Anyway, to keep up the winning momentum, the Yankees Faithful will expect everyone in the batting order to keep firing. They would not want to put too much pressure on the new addition and the Judge-Soto duo. Anyway, now Giancarlo Stanton is back and that makes the lineup look formidable.
