Oracle Red Bull

Red Bull, a team known for its toughness, has faced complex problems in recent races. The RBR squad is in a precarious situation with competing teams closing in. However, this is not their first time having encountered such a predicament. Verstappen, who was dominating the races, is suddenly involved in a four-way struggle. Mercedes’ recent recovery has increased competitiveness, but Red Bull is prepared to meet the challenge.

Thus, it is time for the Milton Keynes-based team to make game-changing changes to the RB20. Since McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari quickly improved, RBR has no breathing room. Thus, Helmut Marko has issued an ultimatum for the team to introduce upgrades ahead of the Hungarian GP.

Red Bull’s dominance has eroded after the Miami Grand Prix. Lando Norris halted Verstappen’s Miami streak, shattering his three-year supremacy. Although Verstappen’s brilliance propelled RB20 to victories in Imola, Canada, and Spain, the RBR squad is on a back foot. Team McLaren consistently challenges Max Verstappen, while Sergio Perez has lost control at the mid-way mark. Although the team has won more races than any other team, its domination has evaporated into thin air. Thus, stepping into the Hngary GP weekend, the team’s senior consultant Helmut Marko has issued an ultimatum for the technical crew. In his Sppedweek column, Marko thoroughly analyzed current dynamics and suggested the way forward.

According to Marko, the team must be precise with its strategy, as there is no room for mistakes. He acknowledged RB20’s lack of pace on medium tyres during the Silverstone GP. However, the senior advisor sounds optimistic about the Budapest update, which will put the team in front. Furthermore, Marko knows the ongoing contest and feels McLaren is quicker than the Red Bull. Moreover, he explained even Mercedes was faster during the British GP, leaving no room for error in the upcoming weekends. He subsequently dismissed the theory that a car faster in Barcelona will be faster everywhere, emphasizing the critical role of tyre temperatures.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown closely monitors every development as competition heats up. Brown told reporters that Verstappen will finish in the top three every weekend. Furthermore, he predicted that the Dutchman would continue to dominate, winning more races than any other driver.

However, Brown feels Perez is underperforming, which has created an opportunity for the McLaren squad to compete for the Constructors World Title. Furthermore, he emphasized the team’s combined efforts throughout the previous six races. Thus, he wants them to sustain their success throughout the season, which will undoubtedly pave the route to the World Championship.
