However, MLB radio host Brandon Tierney begged to differ as he believes that without external help, the Yanks offense can never go back to what it was in the first half.

The New York Yankees’ offense has been under intense scrutiny this season, especially after the team went 7-18 in their last 25 games. Besides captain Aaron Judge, the rest of the lineup has failed to step up, which is leading to a series of losses for the franchise in the midst of a crucial phase of the season. Meanwhile, a prominent radio host named Brandon Tierney has added fuel to the fire by claiming that the team’s batting lineup is incapable of a resurgence without making significant trades before the deadline. According to the host, the Yanks’ current roster lacks the depth and consistency needed to compete at the highest level. And hence without external reinforcements, their playoff hopes are dwindling.
“At this point, unless they make big changes – plural – I think they’re incapable of becoming an elite offense again,” Brandon Tierney said on the WFAN radio show. Needless to say, the Yankees lineup has struggled to find consistency, often relying heavily on a few key players while failing to get substantial contributions from the rest. This has led to an overreliance on home runs, with the team struggling to manufacture runs through other means. Captain Aaron Judge hasn’t left any stone unturned in setting the bar for this teammate with an MVP-level performance. His numbers are staggering that even before the second half begins, Judge’s 2024 season has been declared a massive success. However, ultimately, baseball is a team sport, and Judge needs the rest of his boys to step up at the right time and on the right occasion to produce a turnaround.
Yanks Lose 8th Series In A Row After 5-4 Loss To Rays
In yet another disappointing outing, the New York Yankees lost 5-4 to Tampa Bay Rays in the rubber game on Thursday to mark it’s 8th series straight series loss. The Yanks missed out on scoring opportunity to tie the game in the ninth and it cost them not just the finale but also the series.
Notably, the New York Yankees haven’t won back-to-back games since June 11-12. Additionally, the team, who were the first ones to win 50 games this season, succumbed to 7-18 in their last 25 games. Needless to say, the team needs a break from the chaos and the upcoming All-Star weekend is the best window available for them.
