LeBron James has been a sensational player for over twenty long years in the NBA. People talk about how long he can still go on to play. He is 38 but showing no signs of slowing down or declining in his skillset. The King is still great at offense and also at defense. That is why he is still maintaining a scoring average of over 27.0 points per game every season.

James broke the all-time scoring record of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the last season. But even after scoring 40+ points in Game 4 of the WCF, he could not help his team beat the top-seed Nuggets. James became the oldest player to score 40+ points in conference finals. But then, how the Nuggets were able to contain LeBron James to snatch a victory in Game 4? To answer that question, Bruce Brown, who recently moved to Indiana Pacers from Denver Nuggets, explained how the Nuggets beat the Lakers.

Recently in an interview with Run Your Race podcast, Brown mentioned that he hoped the Lakers would be incredibly hard to beat in Game 4. Moreover, LeBron James started the game brilliantly, as he scored thirty points in the first half. It looked like it could be LeBron’s day. But in the second half, the King ran out of gas. He could not keep up as his age might have been catching up to him. Moreover, Bruce Brown suggests that James was a bit passive in starting the second half with the third quarter. But the way he started, the Lakers expected him to finish the game with 60 points. However, LeBron James burned his energy down, reaching the second half.

Brown also said that they were time to time switching matchups on James. Bruce Brown, now a Pacer, mentioned that the Nuggets realized they could take the game away seeing James running out of gas. Hence, what happens next is part of the memorable history of the Denver Nuggets. For the first time ever, they won the conference finals and eventually the title. Bruce Brown played an important role for the Nuggets in helping them win their first championship. But from the next season, Brown will wreak havoc in the Eastern Conference for the Indiana Pacers. Is that helpful for the Los Angeles Lakers and other Western Conference teams or not?

It has been a while since LeBron James won a championship. The last he won came in 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers. At 38, the King is at the twilight of his career. He may not get many more opportunities to win another title. However, LeBron James helped the Lakers to reach the conference finals this year. It has been a miraculous turnaround that led the Lakers to defy all odds to make the Western Conference Finals. However, it did not end on a happy note. The Los Angeles Lakers had no answer to stop the Denver Nuggets. The new eventual champions won the WCF 4-0. It was humiliating for the Lakers and LeBron James.
