George Russell Does Not Care If Lewis Hamilton Moves Out Of Mercedes
George Russell recently stated that he does not care if his teammate moves to Ferrari or any other team. The Mercedes driver is confident of winning races and championships with or without Lewis Hamilton. Looks like he is sure enough to beat anybody on the grid. As Russell mentioned, competing against Lewis Hamilton has given him a massive confidence booster. The 25-year-old added that it is a great test for any driver to be part of the same team alongside Lewis Hamilton.
Although the young Briton was full of praise for his counterpart. As Russell quoted, “Lewis Hamilton is invaluable to me. He pushes me, and I push him. Perhaps together, we shall win championships for this great team.” He added that they have a good relationship, and he never had a shortage of self-confidence when lewis is around. Also, working alongside Hamilton for the past 15 months has increased his confidence to another level. But George Russell is ready to beat everybody to win a championship.
Will Lewis Hamilton Leave Mercedes?
Meanwhile, Mercedes drivers are happy to see the new upgrades in the W14 car. But people are speculating that Lewis Hamilton might be looking for a change of team. He joined Mercedes in 2013, and the rest is history. Since then, it has been a decade. In his contract, Lewis Hamilton has the current season only remaining. However, there has been no progress in signing a new contract to extend their relationship. Moreover, the F1 community speculates that Hamilton might move to Ferrari next year. Hence, there has been no progress in extending his contract with Mercedes.
