LeBron James, the LA Lakers superstar, shared a playful moment with point guard D’Angelo Russell during the game against the Pelicans.

Los Angeles Lakers stormed to the 10th spot on the Western Conference points table after a thumping win over New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. Treating it as a must-win game, the Lakers dominated them right from minute one and never allowed them to make a comeback. As a result, the purple and gold emerged victorious and sealed the game with a scoreline of 123-108.

Meanwhile, LeBron James, who is ruled out of any on-court action for three weeks, watched the game on the bench and motivated the player during the whole course of the match. He ditched the walking boot and looked in absolute pink of his health. Hence, a quick return is on the cards for sure for LeBron. Meanwhile, the veteran shared a special moment with D’Angelo Russell during the first half of the game, and fans are going gaga over it.

The LA Lakers’ newest acquisition, D’Angelo Russell, is turning heads at the final stretch of the ongoing NBA season. After missing out on five back-to-back games due to a sprained ankle, the point guard is cruising through the court, collecting points for the Lakers. He is filling in for LeBron James, who is out on the bench due to a right foot tendon injury. During last night’s game against the Pelicans, Russell again displayed his brilliant skill set, and James did not hold back on his emotions.

During the first half of the game, D’Angelo Russell helped the Lakers build up a lead of 14-0. The points streak hyped up LeBron James. James, who was sitting on the bench, dived into the court to applaud Russell for his exceptional performance. The duo shared something called an “ice in my veins” handshake. The video of the handshake is viral on social media, and fans love LeBron’s encouraging gesture to the youngster. Russell ended up collecting 17 points, with Anthony Davis leading the way with 35 points.

Anthony Davis To Skip Tonight’s Game, LeBron Unlikely To Return

The Lakers are playing their second game in a row today against the Rockets. However, Anthony Davis, the beast, has been confirmed by the management to miss the game. Apparently, AD is not allowed to play two games in a day’s time in order to manage his previous injury concerns. It is a part of his recovery plan. Hence, despite being healthy, Davis will have to sit out tonight.

Meanwhile, LeBron James looked perfectly healthy during his attendance at yesterday’s game against the Pelicans. He has ditched the walking boot for quite some time. However, he, too, is unlikely to feature in today’s game as his three weeks rehabilitation period is not yet over. Once his rehab is complete, LeBron will undergo a few mandatory tests, and only then can we know a specific return date.
