Red Bull

Red Bull is currently reigning on top in both driver\’s and constructor\’s titles of the 2022 Formula One season. However, this does not necessarily mean that everything is going on smoothly in the team\’s camp as well. After the Brazillian Grand Prix, there has been a conflict between the two Red Bull drivers, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. It all started when Verstappen denied the team\’s order to let Checo pass. And now, tensions are riding high in the Red Bull Camp.

Tension Are High In Red Bull!

Following a contentious finish to the Brazilian Grand Prix involving Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Red Bull boss Christian Horner is attempting to restore his organization\’s cohesion and image. At the last race in Brazil, Verstappen was angry and refused to explain why he disobeyed team directives despite having previously won his second consecutive world championship. Evidently, Perez was astounded by his teammate\’s abrasive demeanor at the time. Verstappen had, according to Checo, demonstrated his true self.

Max Verstappen-Sergio Perez

Last year, Max Verstappen defeated Lewis Hamilton in the final laps of Abu Dabi 2021 to win his first drivers\’ championship with the help of Perez\’s outstanding defensive driving. However, Verstappen did not appear to be in the mood to repay the favor in Sao Paulo this year. This led to conflict between the two Red Bull drivers.

As a result, Red Boss Christian Horner convened the duo for a meeting to mend their ties following the debacle. The racing team intended to back the Mexican driver\’s effort to beat Ferrari\’s Charles Leclerc to the top spot in the drivers\’ championship. However, they are currently tied on 290 points with one race remaining. And as per the stats, the Monegasque is ahead on race victories. Apparently, Red Bull was shocked by Verstappen\’s direct denial, which was announced over team radio when the team struggled to its worst finish since the Bahrain Grand Prix.

After the race, many paddock onlookers were interested in the argument between the drivers of the title team. Horner and Red Bull declined to clarify Verstappen\’s complaint. When the time came, the Dutchman said that he and Perez had resolved their disagreement and moved on, much as he. Red Bull had previously done this after a dispute with Sky SportsF1 over the broadcaster\’s perceived bias against the team caused them to ignore it in Mexico.

Horner Says Verstappen Is \”Not Above The Team\”!

After the incident at the Brazillian GP, chief Christin Horner spoke with Sky Sports. Verstappen isn\’t in charge of the team, and Horner made this clear during the discussion. According to him, they are all working to support Perez\’s second-place finish. He stated that Red Bull competes as a team and works as a team. And no one, even Max Verstappen, is not above the team.

Their aim is to get Perez to finish runner-up in the championship, something they have never achieved in the past. All the success they have achieved is a result of teamwork, and they want to continue in a similar fashion.
