New York Yankees 2022 season came to an end after the defeat by Houston Astros. And after the conclusion of the season, the Yankees\’ most valuable asset Aaron Judge stepped into free agency after denying the 235 million deal by the Yankees. Aaron decided to bet on himself, which proved to be the right choice after he hit a record 62 home runs in AL East.

However, the Yankees never backed off from their wish to reacquire the slugger from the free agency. Meanwhile, now there are some positive signs for Yankees as the Mets and Giants are eyeing to hire other players.

The Yankees Have A Better Chance To Sign Aaron Judge!

A few days ago, New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman and team manager Aaron Boone reaffirmed that the team wishes to pursue Judge in free agency with everything they\’ve got. But it was never going to be easy, given what a fantastic season Judge had in 2022. Pundits anticipated several teams going all the way in for Aaron Judge.

One executive claimed that despite the ups and downs in the Yankees\’ aspirations in recent weeks, he now felt more confident than ever. Two Yankees fans offered the information that Judge\’s wife, Samantha Bracksieck, had completed the New York City Marathon on Sunday. This was presumably to ascertain whether it was a promising omen.

Other than the Yankees, more teams, including the Mets, seemed to be in Judge\’s pursuit. But right now, it doesn\’t appear like the Mets are too keen on Aaron Judge. Trea Turner, in particular, is the target of their pursuit of other celebrities. Turner\’s signing would require the Mets to invest a sizable sum of money. They could be able to pull it off if they don\’t intend to re-sign Jacob deGrom, though, as he will soon become a free agent.

There is no doubt some challenging decisions for them to make. DeGrom is almost unreplaceable as a starter, and the Mets\’ rotation has a lot of potential for improvement. It\’s understandable that the Yankees have given Aaron Judge first attention. And Brian Cashman has been gushing about all the ways he\’s important to the team. The Mets haven\’t put forward any specific priority rankings for free agents.

On a somewhat small roster of Yankees free agents, Aaron Judge is by far the most productive player. In the spring, before Judge set the AL single-season home run record, Judge reportedly demanded $36 million a year. It is anticipated that they will be willing to meet or exceed that demand.

If Judge doesn\’t come back, the Yankees are in serious peril. The greatest, most reliable, and most probable AL MVP player for the Yankees would be gone. The Yankees would not have advanced to the postseason in 2021 or won the division in 2022 if Judge had not played the previous two seasons.
