The 22-23 season start has not been ideal for the defending champion Golden State Warriors. With the league\’s best shooter Stephen Curry alongside players like Jordan Poole and Draymond Green, the team is looking formidable as any in the NBA. However, the Warriors\’ struggle this season has been evident. The defending champions have only managed to win three games as opposed to six defeats till now. And apparently, Curry is not getting frustrated with the team\’s performance.
Golden State Warriors Struggling In The Season!
The Golden State Warriors arguably have one of the best roasters in the ongoing league. However, they are having trouble starting this season. No one expected the Warriors to be 3-6 after nine games, as the team was last year\’s champion. Last night, the Orlando Magic dealt them yet another defeat after they had previously lost to the Charlotte Hornets and the Detroit Pistons in back-to-back games.
In the second half, Golden State led by as many as 16 points. The Magic, on the other hand, only mustered 77 points in the last 24 minutes after scoring 43 in the third quarter. Seven Magic players scored more than ten points. Jalen Suggs was their standout, scoring nine of their final two points and 15 of their 26 total points in the fourth quarter. Orlando also profited from a 46 to 15 free-throw ratio, which was in their favor.
As a result, the team was heavily criticized by fans on Twitter for their poor performance. Many are surprised. However, evidently, the poor display of the game by the team has caused their struggles. One of the main reasons behind the Warriors\’ problem is the weak defense of the team. Meanwhile, Warriors players like Draymond Green and Steph Curry have also admitted that the team is not having a defense as strong as their attack.
Beforehand, Steph emphasized the necessity for the Warriors to set the tone and play Warriors basketball, particularly on defense. To begin the year, the club has had a lot of defensive difficulties. While part of that is expected, given that younger players are playing more, they needs to resolve this issue right away since every game matters.
Draymond Green also addressed his team\’s defense in his post-loss remarks on the matchup with the Orlando Magic. Green, the defensive focal point for the Warriors, told reporters after the game that the group must learn how to defend at a level that is consistent with their style of play.
Draymond Green: “It’s our defense. We have to correct our defense. Klay Thompson and Steph Curry shot 15 for 30 from 3. That alone is good enough for us to win.” pic.twitter.com/OC1L6LWTkT

Green also said that Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for a 15-of-30 3-point shooting performance. He added that if they could all make that many accurate long-range shots, any game would be won. However, the Warriors\’ subpar defensive strategies caused them to drop their fourth consecutive game.
