Russell Westbrook

After a poor 2021 season, Los Angeles Lakers made up their mind to trade point guard Russell Westbrook. Meanwhile, a few days ago, reports indicated that it was almost certain for Westbrook to head to Indiana Pacers. But, things did not work out, and the deal was called off. However, many Lakers fans still believe that Indiana Pacers might be the right destination for the veteran point guard.

Fans Discuss Russell Westbrook Trade!

The club anticipated that adding Russell Westbrook to the potent combo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis would transform them into one of the league\’s most powerful squads. Unfortunately, the season was not up to the mark. And the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs in the 2022 NBA season. Most people anticipate the Lakers to make a significant recovery this season after a disappointing 2021–22 NBA season.

However, supporters do not think the current Lakers squad can have a successful season after seeing how they played in the preseason. And the majority of them think Westbrook\’s presence is the primary cause of it. Last year, the Lakers acquired Russ in a trade.

Westbrook\’s name has been connected to various clubs over the past few months. The Indiana Pacers, though, are undoubtedly the team where Russell Westbrook can end up in a realistic manner. Russ would allegedly be traded to the Pacers or Lakers in return for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner. However, the Pacers allegedly desired the Purple and Gold\’s two distinct first-round selections, causing the trade discussions to break down.

The majority of fans think the Lakers will benefit most from a deal with the Pacers. Alternatively, Purple and Gold may agree to a deal with the Utah Jazz in which they would receive Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, and other bench players. But Russ will begin the 2022 season with the Lakers, all of these talks are currently speculative.

After watching the Lakers play basketball for just one season, we have grown accustomed to seeing some of his iconic Russell Westbrook moments. Despite what some people may think of him, it seems like Westbrook has developed solid chemistry with the squad. Because he is once more being under fire, the 2016–17 MVP could see a lot more edited videos this year.
