Will LeBron James Play Tonight Against Thunder? Chances Grim As The Laker Sat Out In Yesterday’s Practice

LeBron James

LeBron James is on the verge of creating history. The whole of America is on its feet, eagerly waiting for the moment when the basketball world witnesses a new leader of the all-time top-scoring list. The 40 years old record will be broken in a few days’ time. Chances are it may happen tonight if LeBron James scores another 35+ this season. Scoring 35+ on a regular basis after the age of 35 is rare but not for the King. There is a reason why many regard King James as arguably the greatest of all time.

At 38, King James averages 30.0 points every game this season he has played. So the record being only 36 points away can be achieved if LeBron James plays tonight. Now a new speculation emerges if LeBron is going to play or sit out the match against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. The biggest reason for this concern is that even though James came to the practice but he did not take part in the training. Neither did he give any reporter a chance to ask him questions.

How Important The Irving Deal Was To James And The Lakers?

Kyrie Irving-LeBron James

Albeit, he did give ESPN time for an interview where he seemed a little upset about the fact that the Kyrie Irving deal did not materialize. It is not rocket science to understand where LeBron James is coming from. James and Irving have a long history. Both of them were part of the 2016 NBA championship-winning Cleveland Cavaliers side.

King James very well understands that if Kyrie came into the team, it would immensely help the struggling Lakers side. Kyrie Irving, an All-Star point guard, is in pretty good form. The Lakers team was very close to buying Irving from the Nets until they changed their minds. Kyrie Irving moved to the Mavericks (Dallas side) and quite possibly will play the game against Los Angeles Clippers.

Is LeBron James The Only Reason For The Ticket Prices Soaring So High?

LeBron James

According to Underdog, the chances of LeBron James playing the match against the OKC Thunder is “questionable.” It is pretty rare that the ticket prices of games of a team lingering at the bottom of the table are soaring so high. The one and only reason for that is the opportunity to see LeBron James break the forty years old record. Due to this opportunity, the Lakers games are not boring anymore. In fact, these games have high anticipation and excitement of the season.

Before the match against the New Orleans Pelicans, James was only 63 points away. But after he maintained his impressive scoring record with 27 points in the game, he came much closer. Despite his efforts ending in a losing cause, it makes him only 36 points away. By this point, it has been crystal clear that the Lakers fans have almost lost hope of seeing their team in the playoffs. However, if LeBron James achieves this unbelievable record wearing the Lakers jersey, it will bring a lot of happiness to the fans.
