Will Charles Leclerc Take The Mexican GP Away Amid Max Verstappen-Sergio Perez Fight?

Charles Leclerc

Can you believe it will be Charles Leclerc\’s 100th Formula One race at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver started racing with Alfa Romeo/Sauber. And after only one season, he secured a transfer to the powerful and his dream team, Ferrari. According to the Monguesque, his next dream is to win the world championship in the top division of motorsport. He also briefly talked about his chances this coming weekend. According to Charles Leclerc, Red Bull Racing is the undoubtful favorite for the Mexican Grand Prix. The safe teamwork of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez reportedly held the best paperwork on Sunday. And apparently, Ferrari will need to put a lot of effort into making up for it.

Will Charles Leclerc Secure A Victory At His 100th Grand Prix Race In Mexico?

Leclerc appeared to be a legitimate threat to Max Verstappen for the 2022 World Championship in the first half of 2022. Red Bull Racing, though, has unmistakably separated itself from Ferrari since the summer break. The Austrian racing team reigns supreme, particularly on Sundays. Red Bull has significantly superior control over tire deterioration compared to the Maranello squad. Therefore, Charles Leclerc does not consider himself the favorite to take the overall victory.

The issue for Ferrari appears to be primarily with Sunday\’s tire wear. Leclerc also had trouble keeping up with Verstappen and even Lewis Hamilton in the United States because his tires wore out more quickly. That was caused, but Charles Leclerc himself is unsure of the precise reason. Although Ferrari now appears to have a setup that is quick across a lap, the tires are being put under a lot of stress with that setup. It doesn\’t appear to be the best option for races as a result. In any event, the team hasn\’t yet discovered a better middle ground with the F1-75 in 2022.

Those that extended their opening stints were able to manage their tires with the support of a Safety Car interval in the middle of the race. Charles Leclerc gained two positions over where he was prior to drivers starting to pit when the Safety Car came out. However, he did so while in the lead and stopped for new tires. He then re-entered the race in fourth place.

Charles Leclerc also mentioned that he believes Ferrari has already seen it this year in a few races during his interview with Motorsports.com. They have done a great job managing their tires. Now, they simply require one element in order to excel in very particular circumstances. Then, in a kind of an unforeseen circumstance, Ferrari falls short of perhaps Red Bull, so they need to improve in that area.
