Yankees Aaron Judge

New York Yankees are not having exactly their best seasons in MLB 2022. However, the outfielder Aaron Judge has been in red hot form. With over 50 home runs this season, Judge is eyeing the record for hitting 62 homers in a single. He\’s now having the greatest season of his career. But Judge has yet to sign a contract. Therefore this winter, he will become available. The New York Yankees, though, reportedly still intend to extend Aaron Judge\’s contract after a stellar campaign. But will Judge do the same? Keep reading to find out.

Yankees To Extend Aaron Judge\’s Contract?

Yesterday evening, veteran New York Post reporter and writer Jon Heyman wrote an intriguing piece. In that, he discussed certain high-profile free agents\’ anticipated decisions for the upcoming offseason. Jon mentions Aaron Judge and how evidently league management anticipates that he will remain in the Bronx.

But according to general manager Brian Cashman, the team is hoping to sign Aaron Judge to a contract extension on Thursday. Aaron Judge currently has a $19 million per year deal, which will compete in the 2022 season. Before the 2022 season, the 30-year-old declined the Yankees\’ seven-year offer for $213.5 million. Instead, he wanted to take a chance on himself to secure a more lucrative deal in free agency.

Judge\’s decision to take that risk has paid off, as he will probably be a contender for American League MVP this season. He has played 102 games and has a batting line of.298/.386/.676 with 43 home runs, 93 RBI, and ten stolen bases. With a 70-36 record, the Yankees have risen to the top of the AL East thanks to Judge\’s performance. The Yankees superstar Aaron Judge would undoubtedly receive one of the biggest contracts ever awarded in team history, if not the biggest one. Judge could likely be paid $35 million or more annually.

Jeff Passan Thinks Judge Will Stay With The Yankees!

When Aaron Judge declined the $230 million contract offered by New York, he thought he could prove to everyone in M LB that he merited more money. The New York Yankees\’ dominance in the American League East can be attributed in large part to Aaron. Additionally, he is the favorite to win the MVP Award. The slugger is rumored to be staying with the Bronx Bombers, according to MLB insider Jeff Passan.

As per Passan, Judge is the lifeblood of New York. If the Yankees let him go, it would not go well. If Judge wore another uniform the following season, Yankees supporters would riot. He stated, \”I do think that when it\’s all said and done Aaron Judge will end up staying with the New York Yankees.\”
