Why Lakers’ Squad Is Lacking “THE CHEMISTRY”, According To LeBron James?

LeBron James is glad that the Los Angeles Lakers pulled themselves through the challenging situation when he was out. The Lakers did not start well. They lost ten games out of their first twelve matches. That is not the kind of start any team would like to have. But it got obvious why things were not working out for the Lakers. It was a problem with the balance in the roster as well as never-ending injury issues.

The Lakers’ front office thought that they could work with the trio of James, Davis, and Westbrook. But it was not meant to be. They could not make the postseason last year and was about to miss this time too. Fortunately, Rob Pelinka, the General Manager of the Lakers, made some good deals right before the February trade deadline. Those deals were the reason why the Lakers were able to fill the gaps in their roster. But looks like the King has his own issues with this new squad. But what is that? Keep reading to find out.

LeBron James Is Worried About “The Chemistry”

Recently, LeBron James mentioned that he is not able to feel the required Chemistry within the team. As he stated, “Sure, there is a lack of chemistry in the roster. But we are trying to build on what has been our main goal for so long. We are getting ready to win the championship.” It is understandable that the team lacks a bit of chemistry, as it has not been very long since they have been playing for the same side. The new Lakers came in together just one and a half months ago. So, it is a matter of time before they find the chemistry James has been talking about. Most importantly, the best thing to do right now is to focus on making the postseason. During the postseason, fighting for the championship, the Lakers will eventually get there.

The Lakers ace says that other teams don’t have the problem of playing with such a new roster in the middle of the season. Hence, it is true that these players had to get the momentum going for the team in a short period. And they did. Albeit, LeBron James does not think that the Lakers are already a contender for the title. But hopes to get there in time. In the remaining four games of the Lakers, they will face the Jazz twice, the Clippers, and the Suns once each. Before facing the Clippers in the all-important Los Angeles derby, they will meet the Jazz tonight. The next game against the Jazz is their last game on the road in the regular season.

Now coming to the fag end of the league with only four games to go, the new balance in the team has evidently changed things. Before those February trades, the Lakers were the 13th seed. But now they are very close to climbing to the 6th seed.

If they are able to do that, they won’t have to go through the play-in and will make the playoffs directly. With that, LeBron James is back on the team after missing 13 games due to a tendon injury. Everything is going well for the Lakers, but in the meantime, King James seemed a bit worried about the chemistry.
