Faiz Fazal Bids Farewell: A Tribute to a Vidarbha Legend 

Retirement Announcement:  Vidarbha cricket stalwart Faiz Fazal, having represented his team in over 100 red-ball matches, announced his retirement from all formats of the game. Fazal took to Instagram on February 18 to share the news 

Career Achievements:  Fazal, aged 38, leaves behind a remarkable legacy in Vidarbha cricket, having led the team in 53 matches. He retires as Vidarbha's highest run-scorer in both List A and first-class cricket. 

Impressive Stats:  Throughout his career, Fazal amassed 9183 runs in 137 first-class matches at an average of 41.36, including 24 centuries and 39 fifties. In List A cricket, he scored 3641 runs in 113 games. 

Late International Debut:  Despite consistent performances in domestic cricket, Fazal made his debut for the Indian national team relatively late, in 2016, during the Zimbabwe tour.  

Emotional Farewell:  Fazal expressed gratitude and nostalgia in his retirement announcement on Instagram, reminiscing about his 21-year journey in first-class cricket. He thanked his teammates, coaches, family, friends, and supporters 

Mixed Last Match:  In his final game, Fazal scored just 1 run in the first innings and unfortunately registered a golden duck in the second innings. Despite this, Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Chandrakant Pandit,
