One of the Lakers\’ \’Big Three\’, Russell Westbrook, has been the subject of trade rumors for several weeks now. The reports initially began after Westbrook\’s disappointing last season. And since the Los Angeles franchise signed Patrick Beverly, another point guard from Utah Jazz, the rumors just amplified. Now, there\’s a new spice in the old recipe, as the rumors of trade are suddenly getting more attention. It looks like Draymond Green from Golden State Warriors is all set to move to the Lakers. And this will ultimately become Westbrook\’s trade window from Hollywood.

Russel Westbrook To Be Traded For Draymond Green?

A couple of days ago, TMZ shared a video of Draymond Green punching his Warriors teammate Jordan Poole after a heated argument between the two. After this became a public matter, Golden State took disciplinary actions against Green, suspending him till further notice. Even though Dray has publically apologized for his action, many people believe that he will face far more serious consequences than a mere suspension.

Many NBA experts speculate that the Warriors may decide to part ways with the star. NBA Insider Bill Simmons proposed a potential three-team deal that may result in the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Green in return for some highly profitable choices. In the event that the Warriors decide to move Green, Simmons proposed a three-team deal including the Pacers\’ Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, the Lakers\’ Russell Westbrook, and the Warriors\’ Draymond Green. Meanwhile, these were also voiced by Stephen A Smith. He has revealed that after the incident, Green\’s time with the Warriors is almost certain to end. And the star has also made his peace with the fact.

In case Russell Westbrook is traded to the Warriors for Draymond, this will be irony at its best. Because of the fact that, Draymond Green came out strong as one of the few voices advocating Westbrook\’s stay at the Lakers a few days ago.

This off-season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been edging closer to trading Russell Westbrook. Nevertheless, negotiations with a few teams have not yielded any beneficial results. Lately, the Lakers and Brooklyn Nets were also in discussions regarding a potential deal involving Westbrook and Kyrie Irving. However, as a result of Kevin Durant\’s decision to sign a contract extension with the Nets, the discussions fell through. In the past, the Lakers also thought about sending the Indian Pacers a trade package. The Lakers intended to send Westbrook for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield.

Russell Westbrook Is Confident of His Shooting!

Russell Westbrook\’s main weakness on the floor has been his shooting for a very long time. However, heading into the 2022-23 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers star is showing strong confidence in his shooting skills.

During a conversation with Kyle Goon, Russell Westbrook stated, \”I know I\’m a good shooter. I\’m very confident in myself and my ability to shoot the basketball.\” Westbrook says he is continuing to work on his skill just like he always did, and he is aiming to take some good shots this season.
