Lewis Hamilton’s trophy cabinet awaits the historic eighth WDC Cup, making him the greatest racer ever. While Hamilton remains the undisputed F1 legend, securing another world title would be a jewel to his crown. This is why Hamilton switched from Mercedes to Ferrari, as the Silver Arrows were clueless about its technical plans. However, only time will tell whether this move would be a masterstroke or not.

Meanwhile, several F1 experts, including Guenther Steiner, have predicted a terrific season for the Briton in the red racing suit. Some remain skeptical about Hamilton’s age impacting his performance,  as he will turn 40 next year. However, Juan Pablo Montaya has predicted the rise of Hamilton yet again with the Prancing Horse. During a recent media interaction, Montaya discussed the prerequisites of Hamilton-Ferrari’s success in the upcoming seasons.

Talking to GamblingZone, former F1 racer Juan Pablo Montoya predicted Hamilton to return to his “old” colors. “I think we’ll see the Lewis of old,” he said. Moreover, Montoya explained that the 39-year-old racer would be on a mission to prove everyone wrong in the upcoming season. Thus, the fire of revenge would propel him to success. The Columbian racer also predicted that if things worked out nicely, Hamilton could be the biggest threat to teh Championship contention. However, Montaya believes  Ferrari could end the world title drought if they built a car around Hamilton’s preference.

Similarly, Hamilton’s soon-to-be partner, Charles Leclerc, is equally confident in Ferrari’s world title potential. When asked by The Race and ESPN  about Ferrari’s realistic chances to clinch the title, he said: “Yes. It is. That will be the headline!” Moreover, Leclerc claimed it to be a consistently evolving process, and the team’s goal is to improve in every step. Therefore, the Monegasque racer predicts the Maranello squad to improve gradually in the upcoming seasons. He also explained that no team gets worse while stepping from one season to another; others significantly enhance. Hence, he picks Ferrari to be the aggressor in the forthcoming seasons.

How Lewis Hamilton Denied Ferrari The 2008 Driver’s Cup?

The Sport Rush

In 2008, a young Lewis Hamilton shattered the dream of Ferrari and Felippe Massa by winning his maiden world title. In the final race of the season, Hamilton needed to finish in the fifth position or above, meanwhile Massa had to win. Until the final sector of the track, Massa was winning while others took over Hamilton. However, just when the Ferrari camp started celebrating, Lewis made a late dive bomb and somehow squeezed into the fifth spot. Ultimately, he won the 2008 WDC title, and no Ferrari driver has ever won that title. Ironically, after sixteen years, the Maranello squad’s hope hinges on Hamilton winning the title again.
