Stephen Curry Unanimously Wins The first Finals MVP Of His NBA Careers As The Golden State Warriors Win The 2021-22 Championship!

The Golden State Warriors lifted their seventh ring in the franchise history with a 103-90 Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics to seal the NBA finals series by 4-2. Stephen Curry won his fourth championship with the Warriors since his rookie year in 2009. The Golden State point guard was on fire during the finals series. He scored 34 points with seven rebounds and assists each. Although the 34-year-old had a below-par game in Game 5, where he could score only 16 points with four rebounds and eight assists. Curry missed all his three-pointers attempts and 15 out of 22 total shots. However, despite Curry\’s struggles, the Golden State still won the game by 104-94, giving them two shots at the championship ring.

Luckily, Stephen Curry was on fire during Game 6 and scored 30 points or more for the third time straight at the Celtics\’ home court TD Garden. After the victory against the Cs, Stephen Curry was awarded the 2022 Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP award. The two-time NBA MVP won the Finals MVP award for the first time in his 13-year-long career.

   

Steph has joined an elite list of NBA players to have won four rings, two NBA MVPs, and a Finals MVP. The other players who have achieved the feat before Curry are Kareen Abdul-Jabbar, Tim Duncan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, and Micheal Jordan. Apart from Game 5, Stephen scored 34, 29, 32, and 43 points in the first four games before contributing a crucial 34 in Game 6 to seal the championship for the Golden State.

Curry & The Warriors End Boston\’s Hopes At Their Home:

Stephen Curry has been solid for the Golden State during the regular season and postseason like he was on Thursday against the Cs. Boston started an early attack as they took a 14-2 lead in the first quarter. However, the Warriors were quick to respond with aggression and ended the first quarter in the lead with a 27-22 scoreline.

Further, Curry and the Golden State dominated the second quarter and continued building on their lead through the third quarter. With 5:35 mins left on the clock, Boston launched another attack to decrease the 22-point deficit. However, Curry and the Warriors had their eye set on the trophy as he scored a finger roll and a dagger three-pointer to restore their lead to 15 points, denying any chance of winning to the Celtics.
