The Golden State Warriors would expect a much better start to a season than they had this time. It was not at all like what they had been hoping for. Moreover, the back-to-back suspensions of Draymond Green really were a disappointing way to start the campaign for the team. On top of that, the inconsistency of the Splash Brothers was not helping the team’s cause either. The Dub Nation had been hoping to see the team clinch their fifth title in ten years. But it does not seem like that is going to happen this year.

Just a few days remaining before the February trade deadline expires, and the Warriors are lingering near the bottom of the Western Conference. What are they going to do now? It seems like the Dub Dynasty is coming to an end. Since Kevin Durant left the team, there was a belief that the Warriors could never clinch a title again, at least in the next five years. But the big three – Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Dray Green proved it wrong in 2022. Anyway, things are getting worse again. At this point, the Warriors can target Bismack Biyombo before the deadline.

Recently, the Memphis Grizzlies waived the 13-year NBA veteran. He is a free agent at present. How Bismack Biyombo can be of assistance for the Warriors? Any team can sign him at present. But the Dubs really need him since Chris Paul fractured his hand and will be out for another six weeks. Biyombo has been a pretty good, productive role player. In 30 games this season, he started 27 times. He averaged 5.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.7 assists, along with 1.1 blocks per game. Moreover, in the last 30 games, he shot 56.3% from the field. The Golden State Warriors can be an excellent landing spot for this 13-year NBA veteran.

Moreover, the Dubs can sign him for the veteran’s minimum, as a result, there is no risk for the GSW. Adding to that, he is an excellent rim protector. As of now, the seven-time champions do not have a good depth in their roster. Hence, Bismack Biyombo can be an intriguing new signing to the Warriors bench. The 31-year-old can even get a chance in the starting rotation of the Steve Kerr team. So far, the Warriors have been among the worst teams in terms of the rim defense.

Currently, the Golden State Warriors rank 29 in the league for blocks per game (3.9). But Bismack Biyombo has averaged a minimum of 1.1 blocks per game in as many as ten out of the 13 NBA seasons he played so far. Even the LA Lakers legend Magic Johnson thinks the Warriors need to make a trade now. Moreover, they should go all-in for Biyombo. He has a pretty good experience while playing alongside superstars like Kevin Durant and Devin Booker for the Phoneix Suns, last season.

Moreover, Biyombo reached the Eastern Conference finals with the Toronto Raptors in 2016. He has a career average of 5.1 points, 1.3 blocks, and 6.0 rebounds per contest. In 829 regular season games, he shot 53.5% from the field. So far, he has appeared in 40 playoff games in the league.
