Roger Federer Says His Tennis Journey Isn\’t Over Yet, Optimistic About Starting A New Phase Of Life!

Roger Federer

Roger Federer has been missed as the Tennis fans are used to seeing the 20-time Grand Slam champion creating magic on the court. Unfortunately, Federer has been at home with his family for the past two years due to injuries and the pandemic. He has been in and out of the game after the 2020 Australian Open.

The Last Wimbledon that the tennis legend played was a quarter-final against Hubert Hurkacz, which he lost in straight sets. His injury concerns and the pandemic have been one of the most crucial reasons why Federer has not appeared on the court more often. He turned four last August in 2021 and has undergone three knee surgeries in the last two years. Hence, the fans have been wondering if they will ever get to see Federer playing at the greatest tennis stage again. Luckily, Federer seems quite optimistic about his return in an annual update report that he recently shared on Twitter.

Roger Federer Opens About The Pandemic and Injuries:

Federer acknowledged that the pandemic disrupted our lives in 2021. He tried to provide a positive outlook by sharing crucial highlights of his journey through rehab and pandemic. The first highlight was Roger\’s return after battling injuries for the month of March 2021. He underwent his first knee surgery after the 2020 Australian Open. Moreover, he had to undergo a second knee procedure as he was not happy with it. Federer finally returned to the Tennis court in Doha. Unfortunately, he announced a third surgery after playing just five matches in the tournament.

Roger was grateful for all the time that he has been able to spend with the fans and his tennis family. He added that his efforts in Doha depicted that his journey as an elite athlete is not over yet. Roger believes that he will be strong and healthy enough to get back to the court at the highest level. Further, Christie\’s auction house with the Roger Federer Foundation managed to sell 320 memorabilia sites in June.
