Juan Soto, Yankees

Juan Soto and his consistency on the plate has been unmatched this season. In 120 at-bats, he’s hitting .325 with 8 home runs and 25 RBIs. He recently homered against the might opponents Baltimore Orioles which ended up in the losing cause. Regardless, Soto had a different kind of night in Yankees 2-0 win on Wednesday.

In a low-scoring game, Oswaldo Cabrera’s two-run home runs in the fifth inning were enough to lead the New York Yankees to a 2-0 win over the sturdy Orioles. While Juan Soto was unable to connect a long hit, he contributed with walks, hits, and stolen bases, which is a rare occurrence for the slugger.

Juan Soto Wants To Steal 20 Bases This Season!

Juan Soto is the fourth fastest Yankee this season, and he showcased his running abilities during a recent game against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. For the second time in his prolific career, Soto made three stolen bases attempts and succeeded in two of those. He stole the second base after Aaron Judge struck out in the second inning. And then secured second against Judge’s hitting in the sixth inning. Soto then tried to run back home with Giancarlo Stanton at the plate. But was thrown out by Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman. Needless to say, Soto’s season tally climbed to four stolen bases. And apparently, the generational star is hungry for more as he has set an ambitious target for himself.

“I’ll probably get to 20. That’s my goal,” said Juan Soto after extraordinary Orioles games. Soto firmly believes he’s fast and just needs a bit more aggression and better positions to execute the stolen bases attempt. Moreover, the slugger’s belief stems from the fact that he’s on the bases more often than his peers, as his on-base percentage is as high as .439, and he is leading the AL with 26 walks in 32 games. Not only that, Soto’s teammate Oswaldo Cabrera also feels that Soto can achieve his goal as he’s a powerful guy. And powerful guys are always fast. “He walks so much that I think he can do it,” Cabrera said. Stolen bases haven’t been Soto’s forte. But this year, he’s beaming with confidence and wants to achieve greater things ahead of decisive free agency.

Soto Intimidates Orioles Pitcher With Ice Cold Gaze!

Juan Soto didn’t fail to leave his mark in Baltimore as he slammed the Yankees’ only runs in a 4-2 loss against the Orioles on Tuesday. He smoked a 441-foot two-run moonshot against Dean Kremer and stared at the pitcher with an aggressive, ice-cold gaze. Soto continued to intimidate Kremer as he rounded the bases to put first runs for his team.

That being said, after the game, Juan Soto revealed the reason behind his aggression and said that Kremer’s complaint to the umpires over his iconic scuffle fired him up. “He didn’t like the shuffle. I bet he didn’t like the homer, too,” Soto said to stamp his authority over the mighty AL-East rivals.
