RBR Daily

The Red Bull racing team has been popular for its domination since 2021. The team won consecutive world titles thanks to Max Verstappen and a powerful F1 project. Moreover, the team was untouchable in the 2023 season, winning 21 out of 22 races. Every F1 aficionado was certain that 2024 would be a replica of the previous season.

However, the magnitude of RBR’s domination diminished after an internal feud disturbed the dynamics. The entire team was divided into two factions, visibly affecting the team’s performance. As a result, RBR’s reign was in danger, and management had to step in. Just when the internal fire was extinguished, a new spark re-ignited it.

Max Verstappen Believes This Situation Could Have Been Avoided

Since Adrian Newey’s departure, the internal chaos has raged high. As a result, the team looked vulnerable during the race weekends. Teams like McLaren and Ferrari defeated them twice, while Lando Norris has challenged Max Verstappen in every event. However, the internal mayhem calmed down, and Red Bull returned to winning. When things seemed alright, another verbal spat erupted between Christian Horner and Jos Verstappen. Sr. Verstappen accused Horner of forcing him to opt out of the Red Bull Legends Parade. He further expressed his displeasure and claimed he was done with the son’s team boss. Max Verstappen, who won the Austria Sprint race to extend his championship lead, commented on the recent row between his father, Jos Verstappen, and Christian Horner. He insisted that the conflict shouldn’t have occurred.

Furthermore, Verstappen acknowledged that the situation was unpleasant for everyone involved, including himself, his father, Christian Horner, and the Red Bull team. He explained that his father had been clear about the reasons behind the dispute. Earlier, Jos Verstappen was asked to drive a car for the fans, particularly the Dutch fans, but later found out that he did not actually want to drive it. Although his father doesn’t care much about driving the car, he agrees to do it for the fans.

Moreover, Verstappen emphasized that Red Bull has a good relationship with his family, especially at their home track. While he understands his father’s perspective, Verstappen also noted his desire to maintain a good relationship with everyone and focus on his performance. He concluded by stating that the whole scenario could have been avoided.

Speaking to ServusTV, Helmut Marko addressed the recent feud between Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner within Red Bull Racing. He stated that the team has decided to focus primarily on its sporting endeavors, as it faces significant challenges that need to be addressed on the track.

Marko emphasized that the disagreement between Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner is a private matter and shouldn’t have escalated over what he described as trivial issues related to a show run. He highlighted that with Red Bull’s advantage in Formula 1 has diminished in recent weeks, their entire focus should be on their performance during races.
