Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant had a great partnership when they played together for the Golden State Warriors. They won two NBA Championships together. Previously, the Dubs Dynasty began in 2015 when the trio of Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson helped end the franchise’s 40 years of title drought. Later, the Dubs had their best regular season in 2016 with a 73-9 run. It could have become the best team of all time, surpassing the Chicago Bulls of 1996. However, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers ruined the party for the GSW. They came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Finals.

Moreover, the 2016 victory for the Cavs was special as well as they ended the Cleveland Curse of over 50 years. On the other hand, the Warriors decided to make significant changes after that terrible loss in the Finals. They signed Kevin Durant, and the rest is history. KD helped the Warriors win back-to-back NBA championships, beating the same Cavs in the 2017 and 2018 finals. KD won the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP in both 2017 and 2018 finals. But a few years later, Durant decided to leave the Warriors. Since then, Kevin Durant has not been to the NBA Finals again. On the other hand, the Warriors won the 2022 NBA title with the same trio after KD was gone.

It’s Time For Kevin Durant To Return To The Warriors

In the 2023-2024 season, neither Kevin Durant’s Phoneix Suns nor Stephen Curry’s Warriors managed to reach the second round. On the other hand, the Los Angeles Lakers, with LeBron James, lost to the Denver Nuggets again in the first round. Hence, it seemed so new for NBA fans that the second round of the playoffs didn’t have Durant, Curry or James either. Moreover, the Warriors may make some tough calls after Klay Thompson messed up in the play-in tournament against the Sacramento Kings. Now, Durant, Curry, and the Dubs are all looking for some change.

What if the Golden State Warriors manage to bring back Kevin Durant? Recently, on a Sunday night, Kevin Durant was practicing his jump shot. It was right in the middle of a club and attracted a lot of fans. After KD’s jump shot practice went viral, among many fans, there was a familiar name who reacted to the post. Stephen Curry commented, “USA USA USA.” Perhaps Curry was hinting at the next Paris Olympics when they will team up to represent Team USA. Now, several fans wonder if they team up in the NBA again.

It is weird to see Curry and Durant sitting out in the second round of the playoffs. Now, the current NBA season is heading toward the Finals, where the Dallas Mavericks will meet the Boston Celtics. But it is not the same without Curry and Durant in the postseason. That jump shot practice in the middle of a club proves how eager Kevin Durant is to be in the postseason.

On the other hand, after the Warriors lost the play-in game against the Kings, Stephen Curry said he will be watching the postseason from home and will take notes. Clearly, both these superstars are eager to win more NBA rings again. Curry said on TNT’s Inside the NBA show that he wants to get back to the playoffs again.
