The Golden State Warriors are not having a great 2023-2024 season. They needed to start the season well to get an early momentum. However, the veteran forward Draymond Green messed it up for the Dubs when he received back-to-back suspensions. Moreover, the Splash Brothers – Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were not at their best. Albeit, Curry tried to give his best, Thompson struggled with his shooting skills. Eventually, they made things difficult for themselves as they could not maintain winning streaks. In fact, they even suffered a six-game losing streak during Green’s absence with suspensions.

Since then, the Warriors have come back stronger and, at one point, even managed to climb up to the 9th seed of the Western Conference. But things just do not seem to get better for the modern-day Dynasty. If it is not the poor performances of Green and Klay, then there will be injury issues to deal with. A few games ago, Stephen Curry sustained a right ankle sprain. It was tough for the Warriors to win games without their talismanic leader. Lately, the Dubs suffered another blow as their young third-year forward, Jonathan Kuminga, will be out for multiple days with a knee injury.

Currently, the Golden State Warriors are trying their best to stop the Houston Rockets from climbing up to the 10th place. However, on Wednesday, Jonathan Kuminga was not able to help the Dubs from the floor. The Warriors listed him on the IL against the Orlando Magic. JK had a sore left knee. During a pre-game interview, Steve Kerr had told the reporters that Jonathan Kuminga had knee tendinitis. As a result, they would sideline him in Orlando. Now, the question is if he can play on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. The Golden State Warriors would hope that consecutive rest days can really help Kuminga recover soon.

Moreover, the Warriors coach told The Athletic’s Anthony Slater that Kuminga has tendinitis in his knee. The Dubs coach also mentioned that resting him against the Orlando Magic and giving him the next day off as well should be enough to get Kuminga ready for the Charlotte challenge on Friday. JK really rose to an impactful player for the Golden State Warriors this season. Now, the Warriors need him more than ever as they head to the fag end of the season. They have been very inconsistent this year. But the Warriors need their most impactful players healthy and strong to confirm their place in the play-in spot.

Jonathan Kuminga rose to the impactful player status for the Dubs at the right time. The GSW was looking for a midseason renaissance. Later, in January, Jonathan Kuminga gained attention for his impact on the floor. He played an essential role in the much-needed winning streak of the Dubs.

That’s how the Warriors rose to the ninth place. Later, the Dubs dropped to the 10th seed. Jonathan Kuminga became entrenched as he found his place in the starting lineup. Since then, JK averaged 19.1 points, 5.3 rpg and 2.9 apg. Moreover, he had a solid shooting percentage of 58.8%. Since then, he helped the Warriors go 18-11. It has been over a couple of months.
