There were rumors early in this offseason that Golden State Warriors are showing interest in Jimmy Butler. But that rumor did not last long. Then, the Dubs tried their best to sign some good role players like Lauri Markkanen and Paul George. But they failed to do so. Moreover, fans in the Bay Area can’t seem to get over the fact that their franchise icon, Klay Thompson, left them this offseason. The sharpshooter will represent the Dallas Mavericks next season. It will be weird because the ‘Splash Brother’ of Stephen Curry has played for only one team in the NBA since his debut. Hence, who can the Dubs replace Klay with? In the current offseason, they added some talented players to their roster, like Buddy Hield, De’Anthony Melton, and Kyle Anderson.

Perhaps it will strengthen the depth of their roster. Nonetheless, the Dubs have had a pretty busy offseason so far. Well, they had to since they are going through some big changes after the disappointing 2023-2024 season. But now, the question remains if the Warriors have enough balance in the team that can help them win more titles. Fans believe the front office needs to put a solid roster around the greatest shooter of the game. Lately, the rumor surrounding the Dubs showing interest in Miami Heat star gained a lot of attention again.

Lately, Sam Amick of The Athletic reported that the Warriors can sign Jimmy Butler next offseason. Amick added that the six-time All-Star will be a free agent next summer. So far, the Miami Heat has not extended his contract yet. Hence, the Athletics reporter believes the Dubs must have an interest in signing the Heat star. He also reported that Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob must have made a few calls this summer to Miami. There are several rumors swirling around in the NBA at present. But this one involving the six-time All-Star has gained a lot of strong reactions from the fans in the Bay Area. There is a fan who wrote on X (previously called Twitter), “GSW is not doing Curry any favor by adding an aging superstar to their roster.”

More such comments came in like one wrote, “Since they’re adding an oft-injured, old, expensive player, I assume it’s only a part of a plan.” Then, there were more comments where the fans called Jimmy Butler an inconsistent ball player with full of on and off performances. Moreover, the Dub Nation believes Butler might be a star, but he’s also a scrub. It is better if the Warriors just try to put a solid roster around Stephen Curry, said one fan. Nevertheless, Butler is still a top tier player in the offense as well as in the defense. The Warriors are in search of an additional quality player who can fit well alongside Steph, who’s nearing the end of his career. They just want to build a strong team around him.
