Red Bull made a historic declaration, confirming the end of the ‘Newey Era.’ Adrian Newey, the aerodynamics expert, has helped RBR dominate the racing circuit for more than two decades. With Newey’s masterstrokes, the team won thirteen world championships. He was the unsung hero for world champions such as Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. A succession of internal feuds and Christian Horner’s scandal compelled Newey to take a risk.

However, the Briton expressed gratefulness for the opportunity to serve as an F1 executive, which had been his childhood dream. He stated that his experience with the Milton Keynes side was fantastic and that now is the time to ‘transfer the baton.’ Since the formal announcement, the speculations have been in high gear, as Newey’s future in F1 remains unknown.  Amid all the speculations, an F1 insider claims Newey has signed a deal with Ferrari.

Adrian Newey Could Make A Dream Team With Hamilton In 2025

Adrian Newey’s unexpected resignation has created a slew of controversy. It demonstrates that things are not going well behind Red Bull’s closed doors. Furthermore, it will be challenging to fill Newey’s void. Notably, he is one of the most successful automotive designers. The aerodynamic expert has won championships with Williams, Red Bull, and McLaren. As a result, many fans expected Mercedes to make a play for Newey. The explanation is their ongoing attempt to tackle ‘aerodynamic difficulties.’ Thus, the aerodynamic genius himself was the ideal candidate to assist the Silver Arrows. However, in a stunning disclosure, Toto Wolff has dismissed any talk about Newey’s Mercedes deal. Toto Wolff dismissed Adrian Newey’s Mercedes plan, leaving the aero genius with two alternatives. Since the gardening condition has been waived, Newey is prepared to begin offering his services next season. As a result, his expertise and technical knowledge might be precious to other Formula One teams.

While Aston Martin was also in the queue to sign the Briton, the probability was low. Silverstone needs a full-time technical advisor, whereas Newey is willing to offer consultation services. However, in a shocking revelation, an F1 insider claimed a deal had been signed between Adrian Newey and Scuderia Ferrari. A former McLaren pit crew member, Marc Priestley, uploaded a YouTube video after the Monaco GP. In the video “What I learned At F1’s Monaco GP,” Priestley confirmed an imminent deal between the Maranello squad and Newey. He hinted that an official announcement would follow shortly. The validity of these claims will be revealed in the coming weeks, shedding light on whether they hold substance or are merely speculative.

The war to develop an undefeatable team is at its peak. Several shocking signings have been made in the past few weeks. Now, Aston Martin is in talks with Ferrari’s technical director, Enrico Cardile, about swapping squads. While Scuderia is aiming for Newey, Cardile might leave the side.

Silverstone owner Lawrence Stroll has rolled up his sleeves to transform the squad into an elite team. On the other hand, Cardile manages Ferrari’s aerodynamic and chassis-related issues.
