Red Bull Likely To Become The First F1 Team To Completely Rely On Sponsors! Already 34 In Conduit

Red Bull

Red Bull established a higher place in the sponsorship department by passing the 2022 Formula One season with 17 wins, and two championship wins. The more sponsorships a team gets, the better opportunity for earning comes. It has just been two years since Mercedes’s dominance is getting vanished. And just within two years, Red Bull made itself the fastest team to achieve sponsorship money. At present, the team holds 34 sponsors. With this huge number of sponsorships, Nick Stocker, commercial director of the team, believes that soon Red Bull will rely entirely on the sponsorship money.

Red Bull’s inception was in danger back in 2004 when it was named Jaguar. But, soon, the American brand Ford came to support Jaguar. Ford helped the team deal with the budget issues, and helped them financially. In 2005 the Austrian racing team was brought with strong support in the F1 paddock. The team is being sustained by the energy drink company of the same name. The team developed themselves through several difficulties and saw hard times. But soon, they announced their era with Sebastian Vettel‘s courtesy.

During the end of the first decade and the beginning of the second decade, Red Bull won four times. However, after Mercedes’s emergence, the Milton-Keynes-based team was again found lost. But they never stopped trying. And finally, in 2021, they marched on the path to dominance once again. Now the team is not alone with the energy drinks support. They have 34 brands sponsoring them.

Red Bull Is About To Get 40 Sponsors, The Most!

You can say that Red Bull is now working as a host of many brands. And it is not long before the team will complete relying upon the outer income. In just two to three years when the team was under Mercedes’s shadow, there were only five sponsor brands. However, now that Max Verstappen is on the same path as the legend champions, the team is about to have 40 sponsors. This costs the team just a few more stickers in the driver’s uniform. Apparently, the brand-new Red bull car will have a few more brand stickers. But this will make them generate enormous revenue.

In the 2023 season, Red Bull will have Oracle as their title sponsor, who is paying them $100 million per year for five years. These are the extra revenues that help in establishing the team well. The commercial director of the team claimed that Oracles’ deal with the team is the best commercial offer they have ever got in history. The dream that every Formula One team sees is to stand just on the sponsor’s money, and fortunately, “Red Bull is almost there,” said Stocker.
