After a brief period of resurgence in the 2022 NBA season, the troubles for the Los Angeles Lakers have again started to resurface. On Tuesday night, the Lakers clashed with the number one team in the season Boston Celtics. And the Boston players handed the Lakers their sixteenth defeat of the season. Despite strong performances from LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers lost 118-123. And Paul Pierce didn\’t let this moment go to take a dig at LeBron James.

At one point in their game against the visiting Boston Celtics, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had a 99.3 percent chance of winning. Paul Pierce, a longtime James competitor and legendary member of the Celtics, was ecstatic after the historic choke job. As LeBron James watched the Celtics defeat the Lakers, Pierce taunted him by imitating James\’ celebration.

   

Pierce, who was there at Crypto.com Arena, sent LeBron a message after seeing his Celtics come back to defeat the Lakers in overtime. \”That\’s a game, baby. Hey LeBron, that\’s game,\” Paul Pierce jokingly remarked in reference to James\’ well-known celebration.

On the second night of a back-to-back, the Boston Celtics came to the Crypto.com arena. And the Los Angeles Lakers were poised to record their best victory of the year. The Lakers made the Celtics give up a 20-point advantage. But they faltered in the fourth quarter, forcing overtime. The Lakers were unable to maintain pace with the Celtics in overtime. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis falling cold due to exhaustion. While watching the game, LeBron\’s former rival and Celtics icon Paul Pierce made fun of the player who ended his Miami Heat era as the East\’s dominant force.

Pierce and every other Celtics supporter present had every right to rejoice after witnessing their team snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. LeBron missed two free throw attempts to bring the score to 106-93 with little over four minutes remaining in the contest. But the Lakers still enjoyed a 13-point lead.

With a 17-4 surge in the last minutes of play, Boston forced overtime by tying the score. The Lakers just ran out of steam as they neared the finish line, despite the fact that LeBron James and Anthony Davis both put up impressive stat lines to aid in their team\’s initial advantage.

LeBron recorded a classic stat line of 33 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and one block. And AD finished with 37 points and 12 rebounds of his own. Even worse, King James launched a nasty fastbreak dunk that had you wondering if the Lakers star was really approaching 40. Before the Lakers gained a 13-point advantage to begin the fourth quarter. The Celtics had a 20-point lead after the first intermission.
