The New York Yankees have not been able to win a series for a long time. Their losing woes continue. Moreover, they have been through one of their worst seasons in history. The New York Yankees are the most successful side in the league. But they have not won a World Series since 2009. It has been a long time since the 27-time champions have clinched the World Series title. However, there was one positive side to the last series against the Washington Nationals. And that is the form of Aaron Judge. The record home run slugger was back in his old form as he hit three homers against the Nationals.

It seems like the slugger who hit a record 62 homers last season had it enough this season. Moreover, the Yankees entered the game against the Nationals on Wednesday with the worst stretch in the previous three decades. Aaron Judge took the challenge to himself to get the Yankees out of misery. Judge hit three home runs to help the Yankees win 9-1 against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. This performance of the star player impressed none more than the Yankees manager, Aaron Boone.

Boone was facing questions regarding his job security, and every defeat was hinting more towards a change in manager for the next season. In an interview with MLB.com, Aaron Boone mentioned the Yankees 99 showed a great performance on Wednesday night. The Yankees manager mentioned Aaron Judge is a special player. Everybody knows that after what he did last year. Moreover, Boone noted it is incredible to think what Aaron Judge can do under any circumstances.

Every right fielder on the Yankees team has played more than 100 games. But Judge has only played 72 games due to issues with injury concerns. However, Aaron Judge hit no. 25, 26, 27 homers in the current season. There are only 15 players ahead of Judge in hitting home runs. Over 162 games, Judge is on 61 home run pace. To increase the chances of making the playoffs, the Yankees will need more special nights from Aaron Judge. They are still 9.5 games behind the wild card race.

The Bronx Bombers Just Can’t Get A Series Win In Recent Times

On the other hand, the Bronx Bombers had a terrible season this year. The fans have been waiting to see a series victory for a long time. But it seems like a distant dream somehow. Moreover, they are on a losing streak that the Yankees have not seen for a long time. They lost the series against the Washington Nationals. It was their ninth series loss in a row.

Moreover, it is disappointing for the fans because just last Wednesday, the Yankees ended their nine-game losing streak. The Bronx Bombers were able to end that streak against the Nationals. However, they could not save the series. As a result, they are getting closer to the verge of elimination before the playoffs. That is absolutely shameful for the most successful side in the history of the sport.
