Juan Soto was the biggest addition to the New York Yankees roster last offseason. Moreover, he had a great start with the NY side in the first couple of months. Also, he even won the Player of The Month award in April. Moreover, he was leading the Yanks in several offensive categories. On top of that, his chemistry with Aaron Judge was working miracles for the Bronx Bombers. The Judge-Soto duo looked like a deadly offensive combination. Even at present, the Yankees captain is leading the list of most home runs this season. However, Juan Soto has been through a dry patch since the start of the month of July. He has hit a bit of a cold stretch.

The Dominican slugger has been hitting .194 over the last ten games. As a result, it has been a bit of a concern for the New York Yankees. Moreover, the team has suffered a 6-16 record in the last 22 outings since June 13. They have won only a single game so far in July. The Bronx Bombers are going 1 for 7 and are desperate to turn things around. Due to this downfall, they have allowed their division rivals, the Baltimore Orioles, to overtake them in the American League East division. Lately, a New York radio host pointed fingers at Juan Soto’s dip in performance.

Clearly, the Yankees are in dire need for a break. They need something to turn things around. The pitchers have struggled and so has the sluggers in the last 30 days. Clearly, things are not going in their favor. Lately, the New York radio host Chris McMonigle mentioned that the Dominican slugger’s recent struggles have caused the NY side’s current skid. C-Mac noted that at present, the team is struggling, but Juan Soto is not helping much, perhaps because “The urgency is gone.” Moreover, McMonigle said that it was like when the team was playing really well and was looking red hot, that’s when Soto “Was right there.” It was then that the Dominican superstar looked like the “Catalyst for the team.”

Moreover, C-Mac believes “Now is the time for Juan Soto to prove it to the Yankees why he deserves a $500 million contract.” The New York radio host wants the Dominican slugger to turn it around for the Yanks and do it quickly. Moreover, McMonigle added that now Soto should “Sell us” because the Bronx Bombers need “Him desperately.” Most importantly, Soto is under the microscope this year all the time because he is under a one-year contract with the Bombers. Unless he turn things around, things won’t get favorable for him in the offseason.

Clearly, the recent injuries to the slugger in the end of June messed things up for Juan Soto. Moroever, he is struggling with swinging his bat. There is a bit of right hand discomfort that has slowed him down. However, the fans believe the Dominican superstar is holding on for the All-Star Game.

Then, he might get some much-needed rest. After all, this season is too important for the former San Diego Padres outfielder to keep going this downward spiral. He might be able to get some time to recover during the All-Star weekend. Moreover, he really needs to come back stronger for the Yankees and himself.
